From The Soundtracks: "The Riddler"-Method Man

Batman movies have had an interesting relationship with popular music over the years. Chris Nolan's entrance in to Gotham City, Batman soundtracks have had a mix of some of the best and most bizarre musical selections for any films, let alone films featuring The Dark Knight.

In this segment, we here at the Gotham Central Podcast like to take a look and some of the songs that have stood out, and this selection is no exception. Method Man is one of the most respected MCs to grace a mic, and in "The Riddler" he brings a great sound and style that I can only wish translated to the screen for Batman Forever. Method Man provides an incredible mix of New York hip hop and carnival music, so if you haven't heard this, make sure to check out the video below.

The Return of Bruce Wayne #4: Preview

Early Tuesday afternoon, DC's The Source blog posted a few preview pages from Grant Morrison's upcoming Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne #4. Listed below are a couple of the pages showcasing the art of Georges Jeanty.

I have not had too much experience with Mr. Jeanty's work, but these preview pages certainly have me salivating for Wednesday's Return of Bruce Wayne

Thank God for SDCC!

Seriously, death? And not the Death from Sandman? Lamesauce. Stop killing kids, DC!

Comics Period: A Brief History of The Dark Knight

Hey Gotham,

Recently, Dominique over at Comics Period posted a video discussing a brief history of Batman in the realm of comics. While not going into a lot of detail, she manages to do a really good job of  wrapping up the mythology of Gotham City nicely.

For all of us hardcore Batfans, it doesn't provide a lot of knowledge that we don't know, but if you're trying to get a friend who liked the Animated Series or Nolan's take to start reading Batman and get to know the comics a little more, this video will certainly help.

Next, over at Comic Con Gamespot, we have some more information and a cool video about the Batman cast of characters in the game. DC Direct Booth at San Diego Comic Con

Hey guys and gals,

Rich Johnson over at Bleeding Cool posted a video early on Thursday of all of the action figures that DC is currently offering and will be offering soon. I don't think there is too much we haven't seen with the exception of, what appears to be, a much taller version of Alex Ross designs of the Justice League, but there's definitely some cool stuff there.

WARNING: If you get motion sickness, do not watch this video because Rich Johnson doesn't take his time at all shooting these figures and statues, and his camera work leaves much to be desired.
